A clip of a classical recital might not sound too group-enthralling... until you realize the performance involves Michel Lauziere, a hill a mile long, a pair of rollerblades with beaters attached, and thousands of milk bottles containing different amounts of water. It’s a fantastic feat, and you marvel at the time it must have taken to set up so many bottles in just the right place with just the right quantity of water – then to shut off the traffic – then to practise the speed to get it perfect! But then you think: why? Don’t orchestras do this so much better? Material here for reflection on pointless ways of spending your life; doing it alone when teamwork is more effective; fulfilling a crazy vision... whatever you want to make of it!
