NOTES FOR ADAPTING:

AMG 1

For Younger Groups:
Demonstrate the ‘Would I lie to you’ game with a couple of leaders, before you play it as a larger group.
Be sure to add in a few personal illustrations in Key Points 1 and 2.

For Older Young People:
Ask them to give examples of other leaders from scripture who made mistakes, but who God continued to use.

For Unchurched Young People:
Get a few youtube clips of ‘Would I Lie To You’.

How much of a priority is raising up young leaders in our youth work? In the first of a two-part series, OneLife executive director Pete Wynter tackles the fundamental questions surrounding leadership and young people and insists that as followers of Jesus, we are all called to lead.

He’s the small Swindon-based 21 year-old who used to work in ASDA. He’s also the soulful X Factor runner-up who has impressed the nation with his incredible vocals and integrity. John Pantry and Nage, the Breakfast team on Premier Christian Radio (which Youthwork is a part of), caught up with the X Factor finalist to talk through the highs and lows of the competition, his difficult past, and how he prayed with Nicole Scherzinger and James Arthur before going on stage.

Founded in 1996, relationship charity Explore works with teenagers across the country, encouraging them to consider the importance of lasting relationships and marriage. Explore brings young people into contact with married Christian couples who can share their experiences of married life, and the values on which their marriage is based.
